Jeremy Schaffner graduated from Gettysburg High School in 2001 and immediately attended culinary school in York, PA. After graduation he relocated to Hilton Head Island South Carolina and opened the acclaimed Avalon Room restaurant in the Main Street Inn.
In 2004 the Inn was sold and converted to a timeshare. Jeremy took an offer to teach at his Alma Matter the School of Culinary Arts at Yorktowne Business Institute. Serving as the Sous Chef in the student run restaurant he also taught courses such as, Garde Manger, American Regional Cooking and International Cuisine. After two years of teaching, Chef Jeremy opened his own bakery and Café – Seasons Bakery and Café in Gettysburg. The bakery was very successful, catering to local clientele as well as the college crowd. In 2010, Seasons Bakery and Café was sold. ![]() Since 2010, Jeremy has been developing the SCCAP Food Service Development Program at South Central Community Action Programs in Gettysburg. The program, which has been open for six years, assists low income, underprivileged and homeless individuals by giving them a national sanitation certification (ServSafe), practical kitchen skills, and job search. The SCCAP Food Service Program assists an average of 20 individuals a year obtain employment and move to independent living.
Over the years, Jeremy has won a number of awards, including the 2013 Dunkin’ Donuts Community Hero Award; the 2014 Best Caterer award; and the Best Chef Pick of the County Awards, placing second in 2014, and third in 2015 for Adams County. |
The Entertainment
Bryan Herber is a versatile musician on piano, keyboards, harmonica, and vocals. His performances vary, ranging from solo piano, to acoustic duos to a full band for larger live events.
A native of Allentown, PA, Bryan has been residing in the Harrisburg area since 2011. He began playing on keyboards 27 years ago at age 6 and has been entertaining professionally for the past 10 years. Some of his influences include classic rock of the '60s, '70s and '80s, . Billy Joel, Elton John, Journey, Chicago, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Neil Diamond, and popular movie and TV themes." Bryan enjoys entertaining at a variety of venues including weddings, wineries, restaurants/bars, special events, private parties and retirement homes and providing experience that will make an audience happy. |
