About the Chef...

Josh Fidler’s love of food was developed early in life, influenced by the cooking of his parents and grandparents. He started in the food industry at age 15, washing dishes and assembling sandwiches at a downtown Gettysburg deli. He was instantly hooked and continued on to other positions in the restaurant business. While in Santa Barbara completing a BS in digital imaging, he was blown away by the different cuisines and flavors he encountered.  Excited to continue cooking, Josh returned home and took a job at Demetri’s, Greek restaurant.  Under Chef Jim, he learned technique and the inner workings of a kitchen.  He used his spare time reading cookbooks and experimenting at home.  In 2009, he decided to pursue his culinary passion full time. He worked for several successful local establishments, and ran an underground supper club from his home. 154 Supperclub paired Josh with other local chefs and presented private diners with elaborate 8-12 course meals. Josh wanted to share this vision with a broader audience so with the experience he had gained, he partnered with his brother, Dan, and opened Fidler & Co. Craft Kitchen in 2014.  Josh’s passion for great food is stronger now than ever.  Working with local growers and producers he hopes to make his mark on the growing regional food scene.

Join us for the third in our series of Farm to Table Dinners and delight in a delicious five course meal prepared by Chef Josh Fidler of Fidler & Co. Craft Kitchen located in the heart of Adams County.  Chef Josh is a very creative chef who is dedicated to providing the best in upscale rustic cuisine  His menu is based on the seasonal bounty of Adams County.    

Chef Josh will delight your culinary senses with delicious dishes made from the herbs, vegetables and edible flowers harvested from the gardens at Beech Springs Farm and complimented by products from  Rettland Farm,   and other farms from Adams County.  Dinner will include drink pairings from local establishments.

The evening will be enhanced by the live jazz music of the Pomona's Trio.   The trio, comprised of Brett Crawford, saxophone; Marc Jalbert, guitar and Lisa Cadigan, vocals,  has been performing together at area venues since 2012.  Their repertoire includes jazz standards, original tunes by Marc and Bret, and some of their own arrangements of popular songs by a variety of artists including The Beatles, Peter Gabriel and Bob Dylan, among others.  

Dinner will be served in the farm's historic barn and guests are invited to stroll the gardens and enjoy the beauty and serenity of Beech Springs Farm.
